Queen Anne’s County Public Schools Names 2026 Teacher of the Year

​Queen Anne’s County Public Schools recognized outstanding educators during its annual gala held March 30 at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club.

During the event, Superintendent Dr. Matthew Kibler announced Alice Tickler of Church Hill Elementary School as the district’s 2026 Teacher of the Year.

The evening also honored several finalists for the award, including David Cherry of Matapeake Elementary School, Thomas Hayman of Centreville Middle School, Gladys Rosario of Queen Anne’s County High School, and Kimberly Scully of Kent Island High School.
