Federal Funding Awarded for Barclay Community Center and Town Hall

​U.S. Senators Chris Van Hollen and Angela Alsobrooks visited Queen Anne’s County on Friday, February 27, to present a $1,044,000 federal directed spending check to the Town of Barclay.

The funding will support the construction of a new community center and town hall.

Several county officials were on hand for the presentation, including Jim Moran and Chris Corchiarino, along with County Administrator Todd Mohn and Director Heather Tinelli.

Representatives from the Town of Barclay also attended the event to accept the funding, which officials say will help create a central gathering place for residents and provide space for town government operations.
