Drive-Thru Rabies Clinic Scheduled in Centreville

3/6/2026

A drive-thru rabies vaccination clinic will be held Tuesday, April 28, at the Queen Anne’s County Health Department.

The clinic will run from 5:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in the health department parking lot off Banjo Lane. Vaccinations will be available for dogs, cats, and ferrets at a cost of $5 per animal. Officials ask that pet owners bring exact cash or a check, along with previous vaccination records if available.

This will be a drive-thru event, meaning residents and their pets must remain in their vehicles during the clinic. Registration will take place on-site. Cats must be in carriers and dogs must be on leashes in order to receive the vaccine.

Under Maryland law, all dogs, cats, and ferrets over four months old must be vaccinated against rabies. Pets must be at least 12 weeks old to receive the vaccine.
Rabies vaccinations are valid for one year without prior vaccination and three years with proof of previous vaccination. Ferret vaccinations are valid for one year.
