One of Maryland’s most popular running events is returning this fall, bringing thousands of participants across the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and onto the Eastern Shore.
The Bay Bridge Run is scheduled for Sunday, November 8, giving runners and walkers the rare chance to cross the 4.35-mile bridge on foot. Registration opens Tuesday, April 21 at noon, and organizers say spots are expected to fill quickly. The race begins on the westbound span in Anne Arundel County and finishes in the Chesapeake Bay Business Park in Queen Anne’s County. Participants can expect scenic views along the route, followed by a finish line celebration featuring food, music, and vendors. Organizers say the event attracts people of all ages and fitness levels each year and has become a signature Maryland tradition. Participants will be transported by bus between designated parking areas and at the start and finish locations.
